One-a-Day Letter Formation

A photocopiable resource. Recommended by the Handwriting Association.

Six practice sheets for each lower case letter afford sufficient varied coverage of each letter to ensure that most children will master basic letter shapes.

Each sheet starts with the pen route shown, then start point only. The start-from-the-line method is used. Alternative letter forms for f, k, s, x and z are included. This resource has already proved successful in helping children achieve a well-formed script, through the confidence that comes from consistent, well-varied practice – and some fun!
